Describe who/what this design is about

A startup machine shop in the heart of the west Texas oilfields. Looking for a logo that is synonymous with a professional brand. Something simple, something eye catching but not to bold or bright. Something professional. Something that would engrave well on small items about the size of a quarter or fifty cent piece. Something that looks good on a stationary as well as embroidered on a baseball cap or clothing. A Kudu is an elusive African antelope also known as the grey ghost. It has long straight pointing spiral twisting horns and are precise animals.
